My programs:
ASTROLOG is a set of astrological tools including the Astrolog program
and auxillary tools. Astrolog allows to calculate natal charts in any time
(limitations - see ASTROLOG.TXT) and place. It is possible to obtain Natal
Circle (so-called radix), simplified interpretation of the horoscope and
some auxillary calculations (aspects, conjunctions with stars, abundance
in elements etc.). The program can calculate synasty charts and transits.
It contains a big database of places in Poland. It is assumed that the
user knows some basic things about astrology (signs, houses etc.), knowledge
of methods how to calculate horoscopes and some astronomical background
would be appreciated. Requirements: PC XT or better, 256 kB RAM (?), graphic
cards CGA/Hercules/EGA/(S)VGA (also MDA but with some limits), numeric
co-processor would be appreciated, DOS at least 3.0 (I do not know anybody
who uses older versions :-) ). The program can work with Epson FX or IBM
Pro- and Graphics Printer printers. Public Domain. Source code (Turbo Pascal,
67 kB) available here. In Polish.
Looks like ASTROLOG for DOS - it works in text window or full-screen
text session under OS/2 and Win32 (OK under Win9x and NT, no idea about
2000 and ME, serious problems under XP). Graphics using gnuplot. When compared
with DOS version it works faster (32-bit program, 386 and 387 instructions)
but there are no some functions (Polish diacritical signs: Latin II only,
no printer services). Freeware. In Polish.
PLUTIL is a set of tools to handle Polish diacritical chars under DOS and
to convert between various "standards" of encoding under DOS, OS/2 and
WinNT/95. I included some programs from the Doctor Q Public Domain Library:
EGAPL, KEYBPL and PRINT??, POLHERC program by Jan Bobrowski (freeware)
and POLSKIE by Grzegorz Janoszka (mailware). Other programs are Public
Domain. In Polish.
PLCYR is a set of tools designed to work with cyrillic in TeX with AMSFonts
package. It is also possible to enter Polish diacritical chars in the Mazovia
encoding. Hardware requirements: IBM PC or compatible, PS/2-type keyboard
(101 or 102-key), VGA or SVGA graphic adapters. Memory requirements: minimal
(PLCYR occupies less than 3 kB RAM, CYRCNV program requires about 28 kB
RAM). Operating system: DOS at least 3.0 or full-screen DOS sessions under
OS/2 or Windows 3.1x/NT/95. Public Domain. In English and Polish.
CPCONV is a small utility to change codepages under OS/2. There are
available all codepages handled by OS/2 (the program uses the system
functions). Operating system: OS/2 Warp (perhaps also 2.xx) or eComStation.
Public Domain.
